Universal Format For Math Problems?
I have found that when grading student's exams and homework that each student has a different format and layout of the problems. Should there be one universal format that should be taught across California in every math class or is it okay for students to put their own unique creativity on the formatting? For example, some students like to work on systems of linear equations horizontally rather than go down the paper...is it alright for them to do so? I mean if each student uses the same format it cuts the grading time in half for teachers, but then do students miss out?
Ipads or Text Books?
In lecture, Professor Herr made an interesting suggestion that students would benefit more from each having an i pad versus a textbook and that it would be more cost efficient for the school. Do you think that textbooks can be replaced? I could see why in other subjects, but for math? I do not know if students can fully learn off of a computer for mathematics. It would definitely be helpful and there are many applications of a computer that could assist in learning, but to completely replace textbooks with i pads? Do you vote text book or i pad?

Is it beneficial to students to review material every night starting at chapter 1?
I have learned that when teaching math it is crucial to review with students topics and material from previous chapters to keep it "fresh" in his or her mind.
