Ipads or Text Books?
In lecture, Professor Herr made an interesting suggestion that students would benefit more from each having an i pad versus a textbook and that it would be more cost efficient for the school. Do you think that textbooks can be replaced? I could see why in other subjects, but for math? I do not know if students can fully learn off of a computer for mathematics. It would definitely be helpful and there are many applications of a computer that could assist in learning, but to completely replace textbooks with i pads? Do you vote text book or i pad?

It is a great way to save money using online books. But I don’t think i-pod will replace textbooks. First, there are students who can’t afford i-pod. Second, i-pod screen is too small for reading textbooks. Third, it will be a classroom management issue if someone uses i-pod for other purposes. I-pod definitely needs modification if it will be used for reading textbooks.
