Is it beneficial to students to review material every night starting at chapter 1?
I have learned that when teaching math it is crucial to review with students topics and material from previous chapters to keep it "fresh" in his or her mind.
I think that review is always a great idea, but there has to be a limit to the amount of work they do. I think that reviewing for 2 days before each test is enough to drill in the ideas that are needed ( with nightly homework of course)
I have been doing observation hours at my old high school and one of my teachers has been extremely successful using this idea of reviewing topics. I feel that when students are constantly being tested on old material it sticks better. Maybe just one or two problems a night of review? Do you think that is too much?
